Appears way back in the day, before my time and perhaps before my mom's time, businesses used to hand out these fabulous 'needle books' to their customers. I have one from a grocery store, an automotive repair shop, Lipton Tea and a generic 'Happy Home' needle book. Although these needle books have been in my possession for a number of years, it wasn't until last week sometime that I had that 'light bulb' thing happen and thought why not create contemporary 'needle books' to give as gifts. So I did...

I think what I liked most about making these books is that I was able to use scraps of paper, tiny stamps which I tend not to use on layouts and they didn't really require a whole lot of jazz to create. Thinking of making more for Christmas ornaments and 'sweet-nothing' gifts!

Thanks for stoppin' by!

  1. Those are absolutely adorable! I have some of those too, mostly from airlines and hotels. I believe those still are made. Love that idea of contemporary ones....I think I'll make my husband one because he knows I wont sew buttons for him!
