A great honor...

If you don't know my mom, you wouldn't know that she is the greatest seamstress of all time. For as long as I can remember, she sewed wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and everything in between and beyond. So she may not have been born with a silver spoon in her mouth but she may have been born with a needle and thread. Honestly, I think she could sew blindfolded!!!
You would think that it was my mom who taught me how to sew but honestly, she never did. I started sewing when I was about 16 years old and was way too stubborn to follow instructions at that time. Remember, I was 16 and of course knew everything and mom was always wrong :). Although my mom always complimented my sewing, she has never ever asked me to create anything for her until she saw the aprons I am currently making. What an honor it was for me to have my mom ask me to make a similar apron for her! Of course, I started on it right away and had it finished before she left to return to Vancouver and although I have no idea if she is actually wearing it, she certainly made my heart sing! Thanks mom!

I think there must be a sewing gene and it sounds and looks like you two have it. How lucky for you!!
